Alrighty. Big Week here. Big update and whatnot.

First, i finished the sketch for the mad scientist villain. I call him Dr. Skull, mainly because he has a skull for a head. I have a whole story to go into that, but that's for the comic book. Frankly, I like the idea of at least one character in my universe to be a throw-back to the old comic book style, where names were extremely simple and essentially just described the character and his/her powers ( like Batman, Captain Cold *a Flash villain*, Rhino *a Spider-Man villain*).
The gizmos on his chest, arms, and legs, are something along the line of muscle stimulants, something that makes him strong and tough. I'm tired of villains fitting into either the Physical Threat category or the Evil Genius category. I think that Lex Luthor would be a much better villain if he could actually stand toe-to-toe with Superman (which is why he got the giant armor suit in the comics...)
In the animation, Dr. Skull will probably be wearing a lab coat.

Secondly, I finally decided what the robot should look like, and it's a mix of two seperat characters I've been working on. The head is based on an alien villain, whose mask was some sort of breather for him. The body is based on an idea of a mad scientist (possibly Dr. Skull) who kidnaps people, and traps them in a mechanical body from which there is no escape, thus making it more likely that the hero will hold back in fighting this robot.
It's widely known that the Tripod is the most stable structure, so it only made sense to me that if i were creating some that would walk, i'd give it 3 legs, making it extremely stable. The arms and legs are all ball joints, like the figures i collect, because that seems at once both organic and mechanical.
In that sketch, i also drew a small human next to it to give it a sense of scale, for my thesis, at least. In the comics, i'll probably use my original idea and keep him around 8 feet tall.

Also threw in another sketch of my Ice/Electricity hero... for whom i am having the damnedest time trying to think up a name for.
